Travelers arriving at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport (BUD) have several options to reach the city center:
Bus 100E – Airport Express: This direct service connects the airport to central Budapest, stopping at key locations such as Kálvin tér, Astoria, and Deák Ferenc tér. A special ticket is required for this service, costing 2,200 HUF (approximately €5.50), which passengers can purchase using contactless payment methods on board.
Bus 200E + Metro Line M3: Bus 200E runs from the airport to Kőbánya-Kispest metro station. From there, passengers can transfer to Metro Line M3 (blue line) to reach the city center.
miniBUD: The official airport shuttle service offers shared rides directly to your accommodation. This option balances cost and convenience, especially for those traveling with luggage or seeking door-to-door service.
Taxis, Uber, and Bolt: Official airport taxis, Uber, and Bolt operate with fixed fares, providing a reliable transfer to the city center. The fare is typically around 10,000-14,000 HUF (approximately €25-35) for a 30-minute ride under normal traffic conditions.
